Privacy notice

Exactly what we collect, and what becomes public.

This notice lists the actual fields the forms on this site collect and the one cookie it sets. It claims no less than that, and no more.

  1. 01What we collect

When you register: your first and last name, email address, phone number and password. When you sign in: your email address and password. Your password is sent to our review service for verification and is not stored by this application.

When you post a review: the company, your star rating and the text you write. When you submit a company for listing: the company name, its region, your email address and the detail you provide.

That is the whole of it. This application sets no analytics or advertising cookies, embeds no third-party trackers, and does not build a profile of your browsing.

  2. 02Cookies

One cookie carries your signed-in session. It is HTTP-only, transmitted only over HTTPS, cryptographically signed so it cannot be altered in your browser, and it expires. It exists solely to keep you signed in.

Your light or dark theme choice is stored locally in your browser and never sent to us.

  3. 03Why we hold it

To operate accounts and keep you signed in; to attribute a review to a member so it cannot be posted anonymously or repeatedly; to moderate submissions before publication; and to contact you about a submission you made.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

  4. 04What is published

An approved review is public, and appears with the name on your account, the date and your rating. Treat a review as a public statement.

Your email address, phone number and password are never published. A pending review is visible only to you and to moderators.

  5. 05Who processes it

Member accounts, reviews and company records are held in the review service that backs this register, which processes them on our instructions. The site is served by our hosting provider, which handles the request logs any web host necessarily keeps.

We do not transfer personal data to anyone else except where we are legally required to.

  6. 06Your choices

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to close your account.

Closing an account removes your ability to post and unpublishes the name shown on your reviews. It does not delete the reviews themselves: a register whose entries could be erased on request could be cleaned up by anyone motivated to do so, which is the failure this site exists to prevent. If a specific review breaches the posting rules, that is handled as a removal request instead.
